Manufacturer service, warranty intact
Not our idea of a service — your car’s. We pull the actual schedule for your registration and mileage, use parts and fluids to the specification the manufacturer requires, and document it so a warranty claim can’t be waved away.
A dealer cannot make you service at a dealer. Block Exemption rules settled that years ago. What they can require is the right schedule, the right specification parts and fluids, and proper records — which is exactly what this service is.
Book itFour steps, no guesswork
- You give us the registration. We pull the manufacturer schedule for that exact vehicle and mileage — the same data a franchised dealer works from.
- We quote the schedule, line by line. If this service calls for plugs, brake fluid or a gearbox oil change, you see it itemised rather than hidden inside one figure.
- We fit specification parts. OE or OE-equivalent that meets the manufacturer approval, with the part numbers recorded.
- We document everything. Book stamped, digital record updated where the make allows it, invoice showing dates, mileage, part numbers and fluid approvals.
We also check for outstanding recalls. If your registration shows an open campaign we print it out and tell you to book it with a dealer — recall work is free and only they can do it. That’s a job we can’t take, and pretending otherwise would be doing you harm.

The range is honest rather than evasive: a schedule service on a small petrol hatchback and on a six-cylinder diesel estate are genuinely different jobs. You get the exact figure before we start, and it doesn’t move afterwards.
Should you use us or the dealer?
Us, if…
The car is out of its first warranty period, or in warranty and you simply want the same work for less. You want measurements written down. You’d rather deal with the person who actually worked on the car.
The dealer, if…
You have an outstanding recall, a warranty repair to claim, a manufacturer software update, or a service plan you’ve already paid for. In those cases going elsewhere costs you money for nothing.
Telling you when the dealer is the right answer loses us a booking. It also means that when we say we’re the right answer, you can believe it.
Warranty and records
Can you really service a car under warranty?
Yes. Block Exemption stops a manufacturer tying the warranty to its own dealers, as long as the schedule is followed, the parts and fluids match specification, and it’s documented.
How do you know my schedule?
By registration, from manufacturer technical data. It also shows any open recall campaigns for your specific car.
Can you update the digital service record?
For most makes, yes. Where a manufacturer restricts it to their own dealers, you get a fully itemised invoice with part numbers and fluid approvals — which is what a warranty claim is actually assessed on.
I’ve missed a service. Is the warranty gone?
Not necessarily, and it’s worth checking rather than assuming. Bring the book in and we’ll look at where you stand before you spend anything.
